Holy Family Parish Como was seeking people interested in joining a pilgrimage to Italy and France. We pondered, we had not been to Lourdes for over 20 years, it was our 40th wedding anniversary this year, a pilgrimage would be a different way to commemorate this milestone; and, school friend Vincent and his wife Virginia were also going. Our minds were made up.

Sue Gardiner kindly offered to take us to the airport, as we were leaving a day early, on Anzac Day, to take in the sights of Singapore before our flight to Rome. On the morning of the 26th we visited the Marina Bay Sands building, taking the lift to the Skypark on top for a magnificent view of the harbour, the Singapore flyer ferris wheel and Singapore itself. For old times’ sake we sampled the Lucky Plaza food court for lunch, then collected our bags and set off for Changi’s Terminal 3 to meet up with our fellow pilgrims.
